From the roof of the world, Tibet developed a wisdom culture based on a profound investigation into the nature of mind. This wisdom tradition was transmitted from teacher to student for over 1,200 years.

Tibet’s culture, its distinctive character, and its precious inheritance of wisdom are no longer protected by the mighty Himalayas.

Our mission is to rebuild, preserve, and perpetuate the cultural and spiritual heritage of Tibet for the benefit of the Tibetan people and all humanity.

To date, Tibetan Aid Project and its sister organizations have donated over 5.5 million sacred texts, 176,250 prayer wheels, and over 4 million sacred art prints to Tibetans in exile.

This concentrated distribution of texts and art promotes education in communities across the Himalayas and is essential for long-term cultural preservation.

“Texts are our lifeblood - sustaining for the heart and medicine for the mind.”

— Tarthang Tulku
