Community of 1000 Blessings
We hope you will join with others in pledging $30 per month for three years, a generous gift of $1,080. The steadiness of monthly pledges greatly contributes to planning and implementing our projects and activities. With 300 participants, Community of 1000 Blessings would generate $108,000 per year for three years.
Together, let us gather 300 friends and supporters. This would be a substantial contribution and provide a strong foundation for achieving our goals for the next three years. We are grateful to those of you who have already joined Community of 1000 Blessings and encourage and appreciate those of you who are considering.
When you begin your participation in Community of 1000 Blessings, a dedication of 108 candles during the Full Moon Ceremony in the Vairocana Garden at Odiyan will be held in your honor. Or you may wish to dedicate the merit to a loved one or something dear to your heart. Annually, there will be a ceremony at Odiyan on behalf of all Community of 1000 Blessings members, dedicating the merit that this generosity and commitment accumulates collectively.
Estate Planning
Effective estate planning takes time, thoughtful consideration, and a good attorney. When completed, your plan will allow your family peace of mind, avoiding the delay, possible misunderstandings, and needless expense that often occurs when a loved one dies without a Will or Living Trust. Once you have taken care of your family’s needs, your consideration for a bequest to Tibetan Aid Project would be deeply appreciated.
How do I include the Tibetan Aid Project in my Will or Living Trust?
The most common way people remember the Tibetan Aid Project in a Will or Living Trust is through a charitable bequest. You do not have to rewrite your current documents. You simply add an amendment, called a codicil, to your Will or Living Trust.
Why does the Tibetan Aid Project need planned gifts?
Gifts from individuals, including bequests from estates, can help to ensure TAP’s future. These gifts are not subject to a fluctuating economy. They come from individuals committed to TAP’s mission and are needed to build TAP’s endowment, the income from which will provide a reliable source of ongoing support to TAP for years to come.
