LOT 1 Healing Buddha Appliqué Thanka

This enchanting appliqué thanka, created by a Tibetan master textile artist in Dharmasala, India, features the image of the Healing Buddha amidst a vibrant background of color. The Healing Buddha appears in the deep blue color of lapis lazuli, a gemstone and a color with remarkable healing properties. His right hand, in the gesture of granting blessings, holds the stem of a medicinal plant. His left hand is in the meditation mudra holding a begging bowl filled with healing nectar, fruit, and herbs. Escape on a journey to India’s Golden Triangle cities: Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Here you will find many of India’s cultural treasures and experience a vibrant mix of ancient and modern India. Stay in a deluxe room at Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi, which has hosted Heads of State and corporate moguls from across the globe. New Delhi offers fine modern cuisine and stylish cafes and bars. Continue on to Agra, where you will stay in a Superior Taj View Room at the Gateway Hotel Fatehabad Road. LOT 4 Longevity Trinity Painting

Hand-painted using mineral pigments on cloth by a Tibetan master artist in Nepal, this thanka depicts Amitayus sitting in meditative posture with Ushnishavijaya and White Tara, two other great beings who embody longevity, seated to his left and right. Lot 10 Fund a Library

This is your chance to make a difference in the world and help save endangered Tibetan culture. The heart of Tibetan culture is in their literature, in texts that contain invaluable teachings on wisdom and compassion that exist nowhere else. With a donation of $2,500, you will help fund the production and distribution of enough books to create a substantial library, but any amount will help. Creating these libraries will help ensure the survival of this irreplaceable body of knowledge for generations to come, for the benefit of not only the Tibetan people but all of humanity.
$2,500 will provide 250 books, enough to create a substantial library.

LOT # 101 Avalokitesvara Statue

This is a finely detailed gold-plated bronze statue of the Great Being Avalokitesvara, who embodies compassion. Here Avalokitesvara is depicted as having four arms: his central hands are pressed together in meditation gesture, his outer right hand holds a mala (rosary) and his outer left hand holds a lotus flower. On his crown is a small Amitabha Buddha, the Buddha of Infinite Light. The statue’s face has been hand-painted with delicate artistry. Created by a Tibetan artist, this statue is also empowered with sacred substances, bringing both beauty and blessings to your home. 8”

LOT # 102 Shakyamuni Buddha Statue

This luminous gold-plated bronze statue of Shakyamuni, the Supreme Buddha of our age, was created by a master artist in Nepal. Born a prince, Shakyamuni abandoned a life of ease and luxury to travel the difficult path of enlightenment. Here Shakyamuni is depicted sitting in meditation posture, touching the earth with his right hand to indicate the moment of his enlightenment and holding a monk’s begging bowl in his left. This rare, 18th century offering lamp from Buddhist Artifacts is from a Newari temple in Nepal. Intriguingly decorated with a snake spirit and a figure wielding a sword of wisdom, this intricately crafted piece is a splendid example of Newari skill. Newari families have carried on the tradition of craftsmanship for many centuries and are among the finest sculptors in Asia. This lamp was created as a work of devotion and used during prayer ceremonies.

This magnificent scroll from Dharma Publishing depicts the Great Being of Compassion, Avalokitesvara.
